Generosity
Opportunities to Give
Our devotion to Our Lady is very special one to us and so our wedding feast was celebrated on the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Therefore, when we found our home in the mountains, the name Casa Immaculata was a simple one, as Mary is our refuge from the struggles of the world. Our vision was always to make this a retreat haven to serve our priests and the Catholic faithful, as well as a location for our own family to experience God’s creation and grow our relationships.
Our mountain home has three purposes to serve. First and foremost, it is our family’s escape from the busyness of life and to fortify our own relationships. A decision we made for our family was to stop pursing club sports and activities that were “stealing our weekends” away. We decided instead to invest that time in each other. Secondly, with our home large enough to sleep 16, we often think how difficult it can be for large Catholic families to vacation. The expenses for lodging, meals and entertainment could be detrimental to a large families’ budget. We envisioned the Casa Immaculata as a resource for these large families to enrich their relationships by being together to share the outdoors or time in the game room, listen to the creek in the backyard, or explore endless miles of National Forest, all package in a joyful home that is distinctly, and unapologetically Catholic. Simply, a “Catholic VRBO.”
Over the years, the Casa Immaculata has been a vacation source for many large Catholic families, as well as a retreat center for men and FOCUS missionaries, and a portion of the proceeds go to our third higher purpose. Finally and most importantly, Casa Immaculata is a retreat center for priests, seminarians and religious. The home furnishes vestments and all articles to celebrate Mass, as well as a tabernacle and monstrance. Whether a priest is here for a day trip or traveling great distances, he will have everything necessary for an ideal private retreat.
Every opportunity you take to vacation with your family at Casa Immaculata is a generous opportunity to give our priests and religious a cost-free retreat, as proceeds cover their stay and cleaning expenses.
Therefore, make the most of your next Colorado escape and stay at the Casa Immaculata!
With three bedrooms and four baths, the home sits in a perfect location; in Chalk Creek Canyon, between Mt. Princeton and Mt. Antero, and on the banks of Chalk Creek. In addition to a fantastic outdoor living area, the home has two full kitchens, a pool table, and all modern comforts. When you are not enjoying Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, have a family game of basketball or go for a soak in the hot tub while watching the local wildlife roam the property. There is an adventure, and yet a peaceful serenity, waiting for all.
